Rupert Jones

Deputy Editor, The Guardian

Rupert Jones is the Deputy Editor for Consumer and Money at The Guardian, based in London, England. He has been with The Guardian for nearly 28 years, serving as Deputy Editor since January 2005. Before this role, he was a Personal Finance Correspondent at The Guardian from 1997 to 2004 and previously held the same position at PA Media from May 1996 to September 1997. Rupert started his journalism career as a reporter at the Maldon and Burnham Standard in October 1989, later moving to Essex County Newspapers, where he served as Chief Reporter.
