NIH CARD accelerates research into Alzheimer’s and related dementias

The NIH Intramural Center for Alzheimer's and Related Dementias (CARD) is a collaborative research initiative established in 2020 by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Its mission is to accelerate the discovery and development of treatments for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias through integrated basic, translational, and clinical research.

CARD brings together scientists from various disciplines to foster collaboration and innovation in understanding neurodegenerative diseases. By leveraging large-scale data and advanced technologies, CARD aims to identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers, ultimately improving diagnosis and treatment options for patients.
