Dr. Michael Miller is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He leads the Miller Food Microbiology Lab, focusing on fermentation microbiology, gut microbial metabolism, and the development of functional foods.
Dr. Miller earned his B.S. in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis, and his Ph.D. in Food Science and Environmental Toxicology from Michigan State University. He completed postdoctoral research at North Carolina State University before joining the University of Illinois faculty in 2006.
