Kathleen Haughney

Assistant Director for Research Communications at Florida State University

Kathleen is the Assistant Director for Research Communications and resident science writer at Florida State University. She writes and edits web content and news stories related to scientific research at FSU. Her work has resulted in positive coverage of university research in the New York Times, Newsweek, Time Magazine, the Weather Channel and the Washington Post. Before joining FSU, she worked as Statehouse Reporter for South Florida Sun Sentinel and The News Service of Florida.

Kathleen holds a Master's in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor's in Journalism from Penn State University.
