Research Professor
Dr. Jianying Zhang is a Research Professor at the University of Pittsburgh's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. With a PhD from Kochi University Medical School, her work focuses on tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, particularly in tendon, cartilage, and bone repair. She has published over 100 scientific papers and holds more than 30 patents, including one licensed for FDA-approved clinical use. Her research on tendon healing and biomaterials has earned her multiple grants and accolades, including the Pitt Innovator Award. Dr. Zhang’s contributions continue to advance orthopedic research, making significant strides in developing innovative treatments for musculoskeletal injuries.
