Iva Fattorini
Global Healthcare Leadership, Founder at Artocene
Dr. Iva Fattorini is a trailblazer and global leader in the contemporary arts and medicine movement. At the age of 23, she obtained her MD and furthered her education with an MSc in Biology and Medicine. This was followed by a Dermatology Residency in Zagreb, Croatia, and an International Training program in Dermatology at Harvard University.
In Croatia, Dr. Fattorini founded the first-of-its-kind Center for Lasers within the University Hospital Center, pioneering innovative dermatology and laser therapy approaches.
In 2004, she joined Cleveland Clinic with a strong motivation to assist international patients with limited access to quality healthcare, eventually becoming the Director of International E-health. Dr. Fattorini founded the Arts and Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic in 2008, inspired by a vision to shape more empathetic and holistic care. Under her leadership, first as Executive Director and later as Chair, the institute flourished, becoming an integral part of the culture of one of the largest and top-rated hospitals in the U.S. Her guidance enabled Cleveland Clinic to become one of the first healthcare organisations globally to integrate art and music therapy into the care delivery model, establishing new paradigms and standards in arts and health.
