Professor in Zoology at the University of Kiel and Max-Planck fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology. Schulenburg was a Speaker of the Kiel Evolution Center and for the Research Training Group RTG 2501 in Translational Evolutionary Research (TransEvo).
He completed PhD at Cambridge in 1999 and later worked as a research scientist before joining Kiel University.
