Helge Lund, born in 1962 in Norway, is a veteran global business leader who holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA in Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics. He joined the board of Novo Nordisk A/S in 2017 and became its Chair in 2018, while also serving on key committees such as People & Governance. Prior to this role, he was CEO of Equinor ASA from 2004–2014 and CEO of BG Group plc in 2015–2016, bringing extensive experience in large-scale corporate strategy, M&A, ESG, and human-capital management.
