Ever since I watched the 1982 movie "Firefox" with Clint Eastwood that features a fighter jet with thought-controlled weapons, I have been dreaming to use a machine to decode thoughts and emotions from human biosignals, and to use the results for important applications. Pursuing this dream requires deep understanding of technology, signal processing, AI/machine learning, and biosignals, so I first acquired a strong academic background in all these fields. I then produced leading academic research that demonstrated that humans can control machines just by thinking and showed that it is possible to decode emotions and aspects of language from brain signals. I am now applying this unusual background in Helios, my latest business venture.
