David S. Seres, MD, ScM, PNS, is director of medical nutrition and associate professor of medicine in the Institute of Human Nutrition, Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY. Dr. Seres has been a physician nutrition specialist for 25 years. He directs the nutrition support service, the medical school nutrition curriculum, and one of the few clinical nutrition fellowships for physicians in the U.S. In 2014, he was honored with the prestigious Excellence in Nutrition Education Award from the American Society for Nutrition. Dr. Seres also is a clinical ethicist and a Columbia University/OpEd Project Public Voices Fellow.
