Daniel Yoshor

Professor and Chairman at Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Yoshor received his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed residency training at Baylor. He then completed a fellowship in epilepsy and brain tumor surgery at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine before returning to Baylor as a faculty member. At Baylor, he has risen through the academic ranks and currently serves in leadership roles as a clinician, educator, and researcher.

He is a professor in the department of neurosurgery and chief of the neurosurgery service at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center, part of CHI St. Luke’s Health. He maintains a busy clinical practice and is surgical director of the Baylor Pituitary Center and the brain tumor and epilepsy surgery programs. Since 2008 he has served as program director for the Baylor/MD Anderson neurosurgery residency program, one of the largest and most respected neurosurgery residency programs in the country. He also serves as principal investigator for an active NIH-funded research program on the neurophysiology of human visual perception.
