Professor, doctoral supervisor, postdoctoral cooperative supervisor, and leading talent in scientific and technological innovation of Guangdong Special Support Program. He is currently the Dean of the School of Basic Medicine and Public Health of Jinan University, the Director of the Institute of Geriatric Immunology, the Director of the Joint Key Laboratory of Geriatric Sciences of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and the PI of the Key Laboratory of Viral Pathogenesis and Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Education. He is mainly engaged in geriatric research, especially human geriatric immunology. In recent years, he has published many papers in authoritative journals such as Nature Aging, Neuro-Oncology, Ageing Research Reviews, Cell Reports, Theranostics, and Science China-Life Sciences. In recent years, he has presided over a number of national and provincial scientific research projects, including key projects of major research programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, emergency projects, major plan cultivation projects, intergovernmental international scientific and technological innovation cooperation projects of the National Key R&D Program, key projects of "Active Health and Aging Science and Technology Response", key projects of the National Laboratory (Guangzhou Laboratory), key projects of the NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund, key projects of the Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, Key projects of the Guangdong-Foshan Joint Fund of the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province and many scientific research projects in Guangdong Province and Guangzhou.
