Media Relations at the University at Buffalo
I explain scientific discoveries in a fun, exciting and engaging way as the primary media contact for UB’s science and math departments. I've successfully pitched stories to The New York Times, NPR, Science Friday, Scientific American, Smithsonian, The Washington Post, Wired, The Chronicle of Higher Education and more.
My job involves interviewing professors and students about their work. Then, I share their stories with the public through press releases, social media and videos that I produce with our creative team. I designed and curate UB's Faculty Experts website, a listing of researchers available to comment on topics in the news
