Neurosurgeon and engineer
Ben Rapoport is a neurosurgeon and engineer renowned for his work in brain–computer interfaces (BCIs). He earned a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a medical degree from Harvard Medical School. Rapoport was part of the founding team at Neuralink, Elon Musk's BCI company, before departing in 2018. In 2021, he co-founded Precision Neuroscience, where he serves as Chief Science Officer. The company is developing a minimally invasive BCI system aimed at treating neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury, stroke, and neurodegenerative diseases.
