Anastassios Pittas is Professor of Medicine and Chief of Endocrinology with demonstrated knowledge and experience in the hospital & healthcare industry and clinical research in diabetes at Tufts Medical Center. He also serves as the Associate Director of the Endocrinology Fellowship Program at Tufts Medical Center. His research focuses on type 2 diabetes and the way the disease can be affected by lifestyle-based intervention.

Pittas completed MS in Clinical Research from Tufts University, MD in Cornell University, and BS in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
