UK figures show heart deaths rise up


Heart and circulatory diseases remain a leading cause of death in the UK.
The progress in reducing deaths from heart and circulatory diseases has slowed to a near standstill.
Risk factors include high blood pressure and cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, smoking, family history.
More than 14 million adults have high blood pressure but nearly 5 million haven't been diagnosed.
Around 15 million, or one in every four, adults in the UK are obese.
Over the last 5 years, the UK has seen an 18% increase in people diagnosed with diabetes.
